Out of Scale Cover - what is and isn't covered

If you are treated in a hospital in a higher scale than the one your have chosen, you will not be eligible for any items listed in Benefit 1 in the Benefit table.

Instead you will be paid 'Out of Scale' benefit (Benefit 3) in the Benefit table, which will more than likely fall short of the expenses incurred. You will then be responsible for paying the balance.

To find out your scale of cover check your Membership Certificate.

Check your underwriting options to understand more about how your policy has been underwritten and how this affects what's covered.
